Paul S. Owens is the principal attorney of Paul Owens & Associates. He is an expert in trademark, copyright, and intellectual property law and litigation, and has been practicing exclusively in the field for 35 years.
He began his legal career in New York City from 1984-1991, practicing at such large intellectual property law firms as Pennie & Edmonds and working on trademark and copyright matters for such clients as Anheuser-Busch, Warner Books, Alcoholics Anonymous, WHSmith, Pinkerton, Worlds of Wonder, and others.
Mr. Owens was Special Trademark and Copyright Counsel for Sutherland, Asbill & Brennan in Atlanta from 1991-1995, working for major apparel, telecommunications/electronics, food service, financial service, and retailing companies.
Mr. Owens has published treatise chapters and law review articles on aspects of intellectual property law and has spoken at several legal seminars. He is a member of the International Trademark Association, as well as the Intellectual Property law sections of the American Bar Association and the Georgia State Bar. He graduated from Williams College and Hofstra University School of Law.
